GRCC’s DAISI Project and GL Communities’ Our Open Door – Working Together
Local Action, A Digital Gloucestershire
We are excited to announce a strategic partnership with GRCC (Gloucestershire Rural Community Council) – The DAISI Project. This collaboration brings together the resource and strategic strength of the DAISI Project with the community-focused, direct delivery of GL Communities – Digital Inclusion Initiative (Our Open Door).

Our Open Door is the central local delivery hub for this initiative. We are where the support happens—providing the accessible, welcoming community spaces, the one-on-one help, and the hands-on training that helps individuals take their crucial first steps online.
How the Partnership Works: Our Roles
This partnership ensures that every part of the digital inclusion journey is covered, from high-level strategic support for organisations to practical help for individuals in the heart of their communities.
| Role in the Partnership | GL Communities – Our Open Door (The Local Delivery Partner) | GRCC – The DAISI Project (Lead Organisation) |

The ACORN Project: Bridging the Digital Divide in Gloucestershire
Thanks to funding from the National Lottery Community Fund, the ACORN Project (Advancing Communities through Outreach, Resources, and Nurturing) is set to transform digital inclusion across Gloucestershire. Over the next three years, they’ll support 7,500 disadvantaged individuals by improving access to devices and connectivity, building confidence and digital skills, and strengthening the capacity of local Voluntary & Community Sector (VCS) organisations.
By working with peer groups and community partners, ACORN will ensure those most in need can access tailored support, while using real experiences and local data to shape future digital services. Together, we’re creating a more connected, empowered Gloucestershire.
